Fieldstone Farms - A unique Family Community

Realtor Dianne Christian knew she was onto a good thing when she bought her own home in the fledgling Fieldstone Farms development 22 years ago.
"Fieldstone Farms was the first total planned unit development in Tennessee, and Franklin had never seen anything like it," she said.
The homes had plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and family rooms for active families, but the yards were smallish, to accommodate dual-career parents.

Today nearly all of Fieldstone Farms' 2,115 homes and condos have been sold. The development's shopping center, clubhouse, park, pool, fitness center, playgrounds, walking trails and annual events such as the Santa Claus visit and Easter egg hunt rival the amenities of many small towns.
Christian, who has sold 521 Fieldstone properties, said the latest trend is to remodel and redecorate the homes in a process she calls "re-birthing."
The 2,889-square-foot, four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 2221 Wimbledon Circle is just such a property.
"The entire interior from the ceilings to the trim and the walls have been professionally painted, and there is new carpet and pad throughout," she said.
There are fireplaces both in the family room upstairs and in the large bonus room on the upper level. A wraparound deck across the back is inviting for family gatherings and entertaining.
"Most home buyers love the fact that this home is all-brick, and the back yard adjoins the neighborhood commons," she added.
The house sits on .23 acre and includes a two-car garage.
